GRF Jr. FIRST LEGO League Event

Glen Ridge Robotics Club is open to any and all children regardless of where you reside! Team-up! Just like any sports team, technology and robotics competitions can be found locally, nationally and internationally. And, like any sports, it takes times and training. Whether your child is interested in competing or just having fun, Glen Ridge FIRST promotes and manages organized technology and robotics activities throughout most of the year.

Jr. FIRST® LEGO® League @ the annual STEMfestival hosted by Glen Ridge First

Guided by adult coaches and Jr. FIRST LEGO League (Jr.FLL) Core Values, students (ages 6 to 9) work together as a team to answer a yearly challenge. The challenge has three parts: Core Values, the Show-Me Poster and the LEGO Model. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology and engineering through a real world challenge. Click here for more information.

How to Join

1- Form a team. Connect with friends and family. You only need 2 (max is 6).

2- Register your team with US First here.

3- Register your team for the Glen Ridge FIRST Showcase at the STEMfestival (which takes place on April 1, 2017). Click here to register for the Jr. FIRST LEGO League Expo at the STEMfestival. There will be awards and honors given to all….not to mention access into the world of STEM. Loads of activities. Register early before the fee increases.

Register your team with Glen Ridge FIRST in order to showcase your team’s efforts and be part of the review process. While this is a non-competitive activity, the review process is a fun way for your kids to get positive reinforcement, get some practice for competition someday (if that’s what they want) and attend the STEMfestival.
